Secretary Land presents group with Shining
Star
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land has honored the Lions of Michigan with a
Shining Star award for its exceptional commitment to organ, tissue and eye
donation.

11 B-1 DISTRICT CONVENTION
The District Convention was held at the Holiday Inn in
Jackson, Michigan on April
18th and 19th.
The Dexter Lions were well
represented. Attending from Dexter were: Lion Richard Dettling, Lion
Andy Dettling, Lion Hal Geppert,
Lion Scott Marshall, Lion
Richard Ulrich, Lion Larry France, Lion Chuck Eddlemon and Lion Terry
Walters. Dexter Lions received a plaque and were recognized as
the Region Club of the Year. Lion
Terry was recognized as the
Region Lion of the Year and also received the Ken Lautenheiser
Award. Lion Richard Dettling received
a District Governor Award. It was a well attended convention |

| PENRICKTON
CENTER FOR THE BLIND
There were 19 Lions and guests who traveled to
Penrickton
Center for the Blind on March 19, 2008. Those attending
from Dexter were: Lion Chuck Eddlemon, Lion Ron Meyer ,
Lion Richard Ulrich and wife Mary Jo, Lion Richard Dettling
and wife, Shawn, Lion Terry Walters and wife, Becky, Lion
Scott Marshall and wife, Denise. The Lions and guests
received a tour of the facility and saw the children who were
being educated at the Center. It was a rewarding experience
and the Dexter Lions also presented a check to Penrickton
Center.
